Açaí


Purple berry of the açaí palm, harvested in the Brazilian Amazon and traditionally consumed in Pará as a thick pulp. Reduced to a frozen purée, it is served in a bowl with granola, banana and honey, or as a drink. Rich in antioxidants and long a local staple, it has become an emblematic superfood and features in the healthy Brazilian cuisine of palace hotels.
