Artificial snow
Snow produced artificially by snow guns that spray pressurised water into cold air, where it freezes into fine particles. Intended to supplement natural snowfall and secure the opening of pistes, it has become indispensable in the face of irregular winters. Its production demands water and energy, a subject of environmental debate. Resorts hosting mountain palaces invest heavily in such systems to guarantee the quality of their domain throughout the season.
