Badrutt's Palace (St. Moritz)

Badrutt's Palace is an alpine palace hotel in St. Moritz, in the Grisons, opened in 1896. Caspar Badrutt, son of winter tourism pioneer Johannes Badrutt, transformed the Beau-Rivage hotel he owned into this imposing palatial building between 1892 and 1896. The Badrutt family remains bound to the resort's history, where Johannes is credited with inventing winter tourism through a wager with British travellers.
