Barossa Valley

Barossa Valley refers to a wine region in South Australia, northeast of Adelaide, among the oldest and most celebrated in the country. It is globally associated with syrah, known locally as shiraz, which yields powerful, generous and richly fruited reds. The region is home to some of the oldest producing vines in the world, planted from the nineteenth century by German settlers and never struck by phylloxera, a rare living viticultural heritage.
