Bath butler is exactly what it sounds like, a dedicated staff member who runs your bath for you, with all the trimmings. You get a "bath menu" with different signature options: a rose-petal soak, eucalyptus infusion, milk bath, vetiver, ylang-ylang. The water temperature is calibrated. There's a robe waiting, sometimes a glass of champagne, fresh flowers on the surface, candles, the right music. It's offered at places like the Ritz Paris (with Hermès products), Mandarin Oriental properties, Aman Tokyo, Raffles Singapore, St Regis hotels worldwide. Usually free at top-tier hotels, sometimes a small charge for premium ingredients. The point isn't really cleanliness, it's theater.
