Belmond Hotel Cipriani (Venice)

The Belmond Hotel Cipriani is a Venetian palace hotel opened on 26 May 1958 by Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of Harry's Bar and inventor of the Bellini cocktail, on the tip of Giudecca Island. Partly funded by three Guinness sisters, it offered calm and privacy away from the bustle of St Mark's Square. Brought under the Belmond banner, it took its present name in 2014.
