Bespoke itinerary
A travel programme designed from scratch for one specific client, based on a detailed brief, instead of a packaged tour. The word bespoke comes from London's Savile Row tailoring tradition, meaning cut to a single customer's measurements. In travel, leading agencies (Black Tomato, Original Travel, Audley) charge a design fee of 1 to 8 percent of the total budget on top of the stay. A premium bespoke itinerary typically covers 4 to 8 destinations over 14 to 21 days, with private transfers, private-access experiences (museums after hours, working monasteries, artists' studios) and a coordinator reachable 24/7 throughout the trip.
