Bibimbap
Korean dish whose name means mixed rice. A bowl of hot rice is topped with seasoned vegetables (namul), sautéed meat, an egg and fermented chilli paste (gochujang), all stirred together by the diner before eating. Sometimes served in a sizzling stone bowl (dolsot) that crisps the rice, it highlights the balance of colours and flavours prized in Korean royal cuisine and upscale dining.
