An American variant of bleisure where the leisure portion dominates and work fits around it, not the other way around. The word blends business and vacation, and it took hold in the United States around 2021 when remote work made the boundary fuzzy. Hyatt and Marriott now distinguish bizcation packages (a leisure stay with guaranteed workspace, fast Wi-Fi and a printer on demand) from bleisure packages (a corporate stay extended into the weekend). The distinction matters for American tax filings, because only the nights tied to provable business activity are deductible for the employer.
