Bleisure (Business + Leisure)

Bleisure refers to a hybrid stay during which a traveller extends or enriches a business trip with a structured leisure dimension, often accompanied by a partner. The practice has accelerated markedly since 2022, supported by the generalisation of hybrid work and by more flexible corporate travel policies on itineraries. The American Hotel & Lodging Association 2024 documents that nearly 40 percent of business travellers add at least one leisure night to a professional trip in 2024, against 22 percent in 2019.
