Burgundy Monopole

A climat owned entirely by a single proprietor, a rare situation in Burgundy where most crus are fragmented among many estates. La Tâche and Romanée-Conti, monopoles of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, are the most famous examples. This exclusivity guarantees a single vinification and reinforces the wine's value on prestige lists.
