Chenin Blanc

Chenin Blanc is a white grape of the middle Loire, celebrated for its versatility across Vouvray, Savennieres and the Coteaux du Layon. Its naturally high acidity allows it to yield dry and sparkling wines as readily as sweet ones made from botrytised grapes. Aromas evolve from quince and apple towards beeswax and honey with age. The variety is also extensively planted in South Africa, its largest home.
