Cryotherapy
Whole body cryotherapy exposes you to extreme cold (-110°C to -150°C) for 2-3 minutes in a cryogenic chamber. Originally developed for rheumatoid arthritis treatment in Japan and adopted by athletes for recovery, it's now featured at premium wellness resorts. The cold triggers vasoconstriction, then strong vasodilation when you exit, increasing blood flow and releasing endorphins and norepinephrine. Claimed benefits: reduced inflammation, faster recovery, improved sleep, better mood. What to expect: wear minimal underwear, gloves, socks, ear and mouth protection. You'll step into the chamber for 2-3 minutes, the cold is intense but dry, more tolerable than ice baths. Cost: 60-150 EUR per session. Not recommended if you have uncontrolled hypertension, cardiovascular conditions, Raynaud's syndrome, or are pregnant. Consult the medical team first.
