Garden villa

A garden villa is a resort villa that sits not on the beach but back from it, surrounded by its own walled tropical garden, usually with a private pool, an outdoor pavilion or sala, and dense planting for privacy. Garden villas typically cost 20-40% less than beachfront villas at the same resort, which makes them the budget-conscious upgrade choice. The trade-off: no view of the ocean from your bed, but more genuine privacy, sometimes more space, and family-friendly because small kids can't wander to the water. Found at almost every luxury resort that has tiered villa pricing: Soneva Fushi, Anantara Kihavah, Six Senses Laamu, Como Cocoa Island. A smart pick for travelers who'll spend their days at the beach anyway.
