Guest preferences file
The guest preferences file is the internal record a hotel keeps on you across stays, what kind of pillow you like, your favorite room (or one to avoid), your preferred newspaper, allergies, anniversary dates, your kids' names, even how strong you like your coffee. Luxury hotel chains share this profile across all their properties, so a Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo knows what the one in London learned about you. To check your file: ask the front desk during your stay ("can you tell me what's in my profile?"). You can correct or delete information under GDPR (in Europe) or CCPA (California). The more accurate your file, the better future stays feel.
