Hippolyte Jammet
Hippolyte Jammet, born into a family of restaurateurs, bought in 1923 the former mansion of Jules de Castellane on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. He transformed it into an Art Deco palace named Le Bristol, in tribute to the Earl of Bristol, and opened it in 1925. His son Pierre took over the house in 1968, continuing the family's work.
