Hormesis training

Deliberately exposing the body to mild biological stress (extreme heat, extreme cold, fasting, low oxygen, intense exercise) to trigger cellular repair and build resilience. Hugo Schulz first described the principle in 1888 and Edward Calabrese revived it in the 1990s. Premium wellness now packages it as 90 °C saunas alternated with 3 °C ice baths, intermittent fasting and HIIT training. Lanserhof, Chenot and SHA Wellness all include hormesis protocols in their longevity stays. The cornerstone evidence: Laukkanen and colleagues showed in Finland in 2015 that taking a sauna four to seven times a week cuts cardiovascular mortality by roughly 40 percent over two decades.
