House grenadine

House grenadine is a red syrup made from pomegranate juice and sugar, sometimes lifted with orange flower water. It differs from industrial versions that are often artificially coloured and free of real fruit. A historic ingredient in the Jack Rose and the Tequila Sunrise, it brings vivid colour, fruity acidity and balanced sweetness to cocktails at once.
