King cube

A king cube is a large ice cube around five centimetres per side, often cut from clear ice made by directional freezing. Its low exposed surface relative to its mass slows melting, chilling a slowly sipped cocktail without over-diluting it. It traditionally serves the Old Fashioned and spirits poured over ice in the contemporary bar.
