Les Rugiens

An emblematic premier cru of Pommard, reputed the most prestigious of the appellation. Its name evokes the red colour of its iron-rich soils. Well exposed to the south, the slope favours optimal ripening of Pinot Noir, giving powerful, tannic wines. Often cited as a candidate for grand cru promotion, it appears on fine wine lists.
