Margarita
The Margarita refers to a Mexican cocktail of tequila, orange liqueur (triple sec or Cointreau) and lime juice, shaken and served in a glass rimmed with salt. Several origin stories place it along the United States and Mexico border during the 1930s and 1940s. Codified by the International Bartenders Association, it belongs to the wider family of agave-based sours.
