Mayer Family

The Mayer family founded the Beau-Rivage in Geneva in 1865, on the shore of Lake Geneva. Pioneers Jean-Jacques and Albertine Mayer launched a family house that has remained independent ever since. The hotel entered history in 1898 when Empress Elisabeth of Austria stayed there before her assassination. The Mayers directed the property across five generations.
