Mendoza

Mendoza refers to the leading wine region of Argentina, at the foot of the Andes in the west of the country. It is globally identified with malbec, a grape of French origin that found its ideal home here, producing deep, velvety reds with supple tannins. The high altitude of many vineyards, sometimes beyond a thousand metres, and irrigation from Andean snowmelt shape concentrated, deeply coloured wines that define Argentine viticulture on the world stage.
