Nadi (subtle channels)

Subtle channels of the energetic body in Ayurveda and yoga, comparable to meridians, through which prana flows. Tradition describes thousands of them, including three principal ones: Ida, Pingala and Sushumna. Marma points and breathing practices act on these nadis to restore the free circulation of energy, the principle underlying the energetic treatments of palace spas.
