Oud

A precious raw material derived from the resin secreted by trees of the agarwood genus (Aquilaria) in response to infection. Worked into chips then distilled into oil, oud unfolds a woody, deep, animalic scent, the signature of Middle Eastern perfumery. Rare and costly, it lays an opulent base note sought in the signature scents of Gulf palaces.
