Polo handicap
A rating assigned to every polo player reflecting overall ability, including horsemanship, team play, knowledge of the game and the quality of their string of ponies. The scale runs from minus two for novices up to ten for the world's elite. A team handicap sums its four players. It measures sporting rank rather than goals scored, and governs the structure of tournaments held at prestige polo clubs and resorts.
