Table crystal

Table crystal covers the cut or blown crystal glasses used for water and wines on a fine hospitality table. Crystal, a glass containing lead oxide or mineral oxides, is distinguished by its clear ring, its transparency and the brilliance of its cut edges. Each style of wine calls for a specific bowl, which can raise a single cover to several glasses, arranged in a line or an arc above the knives on the right of the setting.
