Team goal rating

The sum of the individual handicaps of a polo team's four players, expressed in goals, which determines a tournament's category: low goal, medium goal or high goal. When two teams show different totals, the weaker is granted a head start in goals to balance the match. This system structures polo club competition and allows sides of varying strength to compete fairly against one another across the playing season.
