Touriga Nacional

Touriga Nacional is a Portuguese red grape widely regarded as the country's noblest variety. Grown in the Douro and Dao on schist and granite soils, it is a leading component in vintage Port blends. Its very small berries yield concentrated, tannic and perfumed wines, marked by floral notes of violet and bergamot over deep black fruit, with the structure to age for two or three decades.
