Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park refers to the 2,110 square kilometre national park straddling Tennessee and North Carolina, designated in 1934 and inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. The park remains the most visited in the United States with 13 million annual visitors, double the Grand Canyon, thanks to its free entry and proximity to South-Eastern urban centres. The ultra-luxury hotel pocket organises around Walland, Tennessee, on the park's edge. A lesser-known feature : Blackberry Farm, set on a 4,200 acre working estate, operates a creamery and artisan bakery whose output serves exclusively the in-house dining room, with a sommelier-chef trained through the Master Sommelier programme.
