Medical Wellness

['medical spa', 'clinical wellness', 'medspa']

Medical wellness designates the hospitality segment in which wellness protocols are prescribed and supervised by a credentialed medical team on the basis of formal clinical diagnostics. The scope includes cardiology workups, light medical imaging, regenerative medicine, intravenous IV therapies and six- and twelve-month post-stay follow-up plans. The Global Wellness Institute separates medical wellness from wellness lifestyle by requiring a permanent medical director and a named patient file. Hospitality Net 2026 cites Austria's Lanserhof, Switzerland's Clinique La Prairie, Spain's SHA Wellness and Chenot Palace Weggis as operational references. A sectoral fact: Lanserhof systematically requires a detailed pre-arrival medical questionnaire and may decline a stay if the traveller's clinical condition exceeds the property's competencies (Global Wellness Institute, 2024).

Hospitality context
Sub-segment requiring permanent medical director, patient file and post-stay follow-up, distinct from non-medical wellness lifestyle.
